Q: Where do you recommend that I purchase
my supplies?
A: Article
Pract, Stash,
and of course you can check
online too. However, I always like
to feel and fondle the
yarn myself so I am a huge fan
of the local yarn store
concept.
Q: Are there any knitting books you particularly recommend?
A: Well what I love changes
frequently. My current favorite is One Skein by
Leigh Radford. This is the book we have suggested
for the Fiona
Felted Clutch class.

and of course, we never, EVER, give your email out
to anyone else. ; )

A: Why YES we do! We sell knit-one-one Gift
Certificates in three amounts which can be used for any of our classes or
other offerings. FInd them here!

Q:
What do the various knitting levels mean?
Beginner:
You have watched all
your friends and family knit and you have gazed
at them with longing and admiration. Now you
want to try your hand at it yourself. Please
sign up. You are ready!
Advanced Beginner:
You have completed some projects,
but are still learning. You may even have some unfinished
projects lying around the house. And a class would
be the perfect shot in the arm to get you going on
them again. You know the basics: cast on, bind off,
knit, purl, and perhaps even how to increase & decrease.
Intermediate:
You have made several garments
or other projects. You have some experience working
in different stitch patterns, can read a written
pattern, and are familiar with garment shaping. But
you are ready to learn color work and other more
advanced techniques.
Advanced:
You have made garments or
other projects. You are familiar with various stitch
patterns, and are comfortable adapting patterns.
You want the energy of a class to get you launched
on new ideas and techniques.
Still not sure if the class you like is suitable for you? Email
us and ask! (Don’t worry, we definitely don’t bite!) |
